A big ball of... whaaaaattt?

AUGH!

What is this!?!

[The device records video as Lady Aska walks around what appears to be a large mass of garbage. Pieces of plastic bags, rubbish… Is that a potted plant? And even a kitchen sink can be seen sticking out from this impressively round display. ]

Is this some kind of art exhibit? Maybe some one thinks this is pretty but we don’t!

[She stops to look around. The ball of stuff is sitting in the middle of the street, entirely blocking traffic… ]

But why did someone leave it here? Maybe we should move it out of the way.

[OOC: A NPC has been attacked by the Katamari curse and Aska runs the risk of becoming trapped herself. Lol, warn her, please? ]

Unless you wanna add to that art exhibit, I wouldn't touch it.

[Tiny hands that were about to give the ball of stuff a small push instead seek out the Network Device to respond. ]

Hmm…? How would our touching this thing add to the art exhibit?

Have you been looking at the network lately? You're gonna get stuck.

No we haven’t looked at it. EH, we don’t want to get stuck though!!

[Blinks at the ball of stuff and scoots swiftly away. ]

Why would we get stuck? Is it covered in glue?

There's a curse going on today.

A curse that makes things get stuck in giant balls?
Why does this City have to be so weird…

We don’t understand this curse at all, but thank you for telling us about it.

[Ah, manners remembered! ]

You didn’t get stuck on one of those balls did you?

But, no. Don't think I'm cursed for once.

[Aska trails off as she hears something, a tiny muffled voice maybe, coming from the ball she was still standing near. ]

We think there might be someone INSIDE THIS THING!!

[Aska can probably here Soul palm his face.]

Leave them. You're gonna get stuck if you try to help them.

But, it can’t be comfortable to be trapped like that. Maybe we can use our magic to help them! Then we wouldn’t have to touch the ball at all!

[There is a crinkle of paper and soon thereafter a mighty roar as a dragon comes to life from the drawing Aska has created. ]

[Soul flips on his video feed to try to get Aska to do the same. Cause, really? A roar? What the hell was going on.]

Tell me that was on your side.

[Then an image of a giant dragon fills the screen as it reaches out a clawed hand to grab a chair trapped in the ball of stuff and… the chair doesn’t budge. Maybe if a little more force was used? The dragon carefully places its other hand on the ball to use a little more leverage to free the chair. The chair remains right where it was and now the dragon has both hands trapped… ]

Come on dragon! You can’t be stuck too!! Ugh!

[Finally she addresses Soul again. ]

We were trying to use a dragon to help that guy get out of the ball…

[The dragon sobs, still trying to free it’s hands. ]

But, it didn’t really work out right…

[He stares a bit. Though he's had his share of monsters and evil humans, seeing a real dragon was something to be seen. As she addresses him, he nods in acknowledgement.]

I saw. It's probably best not to bother with it. Your dragon'll probably come free by midnight.

Why would we need to leave it there?

[Aska closes her eyes and focuses on the scroll of paper hovering in front of her. ]

Dragon return!

[After a few added hand motions the dragon shrinks in size, turns into ball of light and flies over to reenter the scroll as the drawing it originally was. ]

We were just surprised it got stuck too.

[Soul stares again. That was definitely something new too.]

You keep all your pets like that by any chance?

What pet?

[TIME TO BOAST! ]

That wasn’t a pet that was our illusion magic! Only members of the royal family of Fahren can do spells like that!

But, having a dragon for a pet would be neat!

[Whoa. Hold on there.]

So it's not a real dragon?

No. It’s just magic.

See…

[She demonstrates without actually drawing anything. ]

We take our ink and paper, draw whatever we want, use the right hand motions and whatever we draw comes off the page to do what we tell it to do!

Like a witch.

[He states this matter-of-factly. It was still a bit odd that there were magic users here that weren't bad people. Just goes to show you how worlds were. He shrugs it off.]

So you can draw anything and it'll come to life? How long do they usually last?

[Puffs out her cheeks at the ‘lie a witch’ comment, fully offended! ]

We aren’t like a witch at all!! They are supposed to be evil!
We aren’t evil!

[The flash of temper doesn’t last too long. ]

Mmm! We can bring anything we draw to life and they last until we tell them to go away or until we get too tired to use our magic anymore. The power of our will makes the magic work.

My bad. Usually people who can use magic in my world are witches. They're bad news where I'm from too.

[Then he gets an idea.]

Hey, Aska. Think you can draw me something?

[This explanation about witch comment is considered, then accepted. ]

Ok then. We won’t be mad about it. If the only people you know that can use magic were witches we suppose it was only a mistake.

Hm?

Draw something like what?

Any idea what a motorcycle looks like?

We have never seen one of those things before… Do you have a picture?

Guess not every world has one. Hold on a sec.

[A few minutes later this picture (http://www.locksmithdownloads.com/MyImages/Motorcycle.jpg) is sent to Aska's phone.]

It's kinda like a bike. You ride on it to get to places fast.

It looks cute!
We should be able to draw something like this!

[Ok, so she doesn’t really understand how a machine like this really works but it’s magic so that doesn’t really matter anyway. ]

How fast does it go? Is it as fast as a car? We saw one of those once!

[So long as Soul gets to ride a bit, it's okay!]

Just as fast. But it's probably not a good idea today with this stupid curse going on.

Oh yeah… those ball curse things are all over the road. It would be hard to dodge them all, wouldn’t it? Maybe we should try this on a day when there isn’t a curse, but we will keep this picture and practice drawing it!

We would like to be able to ride on one of these motorcycles.

I think you'd be better off with a bike if you've never rode one before.

You have ridden one before, right? You could show us how it works!

Yeah, I've ridden a bike before. Motorcycle's probably too heavy for you.

[At least based on her size in the video.]

We're probably gonna have to borrow one or something.

[Very wise. She is a chibi and … not overly reliable with machinery. ]

That sounds like fun! If you will show up this bicycle-thing and maybe take us for a ride on the motorcycle then we won’t mind using our magic to make one for you!

Wait. Couldn't you just pop a bicycle out with your magic?

[A little embarrassed to admit…]

We don’t really know what one of those looks like either… It just sounds fun.

[Soul sighs.]

Your world didn't have those too, huh. It's just a motorcycle you move with your feet.

Oh! It’s a rickshaw without the cart or third wheel! You could have said so.
