[Video]

[ The video begins as the person holding the Network Device wanders down a long vacant hallway. The girl stops at each door she comes to, opening them and looking around before wandering on to the next room.
Living room - empty
Bedroom - empty
Bathroom - thankfully empty
Kitchen - also empty…
With a sob the camera is placed on the table as Lady Aska climbs up into one of the tall chairs. ]

When we arrived there were a lot of people here in this beach house. Now we are the only one left…

[ Eyes that have clearly been filled with tears become glassy again as a fresh batch forms and runs down her cheeks. ]

What are we supposed to do now? We are so lonely…

[OOC: Only the Lonely Curse - Though this loneliness has been growing since the other members of the Rayearth Beach house left the City. Lady Aska has been living in this big house all by herself since they disappeared.

[ Tyr doesn't know the difference (and would prefer if she didn't go for the messier ingredients. ]

Good! Bring them over here. We'll put them in near the end.

[Aska walks over, climbs up on the nearest chair, and sets the berries up just where Tyr told her to. Since he knew more about cooking, why not, she would actually listen to him. ]

So, what do we do first?

[ It's more fun when she works with him anyway. It reminds him of when he was little.

He brings out some plastic measuring cups and a couple of mixing bowls along with other utensils to use. ]

We have to measure it all out.

[ He hands her a measuring cup. ] You can handle the flour. We need a little more than a cup.

[Oh dear, this might get a touch messy as Aska tries to get the flour out of the container it is in and into the much smaller measuring cup. This is managed with only getting a little stray flour on the counter, her hands, a sleeve… and when she goes to brush a stray hair out of her eyes she accidentally leave a streak of the white power on her face. But, the measuring cup is full! It’s a job well done! ]

And then do we put it in the bowl?

That's right. It goes in the bigger bowl.

[ He slides it closer to her before she has to reach and make a bigger mess. He doesn't mind the mess right now, though. ]

Then we need sugar...

Ok!

[With a small cloud of flour dust the ingredient is dumped out into the larger bowl and then the container of sugar is reached for. It was just out of reach but with a good stretch… the container is collected and brought close enough to get sugar out of it.]

How much do we need?

[ He just watches her reach for the sugar and grab it. She doesn't seem like she needs to be babied at the moment.

He passes her a tablespoon. ]

Just a spoonful. It'll be plenty sweet with everything else we'll add.

[It is tempting to put the spoonful of sugar in her mouth when she scoops it, but she decides better of it and deposits the sugar into the bowl where it belongs. ]

This is fun! We have never been able to cook like this before.

No? No-one has cooked with you before?

[ He might have been pretty disappointed with her if she did that! ]

We were supposed to learn diplomatic… and boring things. No one ever showed us how to do fun stuff like this!

[One of the berries does end up being eaten though. ]

Is it time for these to go in?

[ He nods as he measure outs some other dry ingredients to add. ]

I know what you mean. I had to take a lot of boring lessons when I was younger, too. [ Though not when he was six... He glances back over to her at her question. ]

Not quite yet. Those go in with the wet stuff.

[The annoyances that come with being a Princess. ]

We guess everyone does… but, that doesn’t make them anymore fun.
We don’t like studying at all!

[She watches while these dry ingredients are also added to the mixture, helping where she can by holding the bowl so it doesn’t scoot too far away. ]

When do we add the wet things?

[ Yes. :'( ]

I don't either. [ Huff. ] But it'll come in handy in the future.

As for the combining... [ He brings the smaller bowl over along with the eggs and milk. ] Measure out a cup of milk, then we'll add it to other stuff after I add the eggs.

[How dangerous giving a child milk to pour! That almost always results in a spill of some kind. In this case just a minor one that she quickly mops up with a nearby dish towel before it can get onto the floor. ]

Its ok, we caught it in time.

[ Tyr is not that experienced with kids. He didn't realise it would result in a bigger mess! But he is glad she didn't just drop the (thankfully not full) container. ]

Good job. All right, put it in this bowl. [ He points to the empty one, an egg in one hand. ]

[He is doing a GREAT job for some one with no experience with kids.
The milk gets places into the indicated bowl with only a minor splash. ]

How come it goes over here with the egg? Doesn’t it have to make the flour and stuff wet?

[ It's that RPG leader charisma or something. ]

It will. We're not going to keep them separate forever.

[ He breaks an egg into the bowl with one hand, then the other. ]

We're just mixing it with the egg first so they can come together. It'll make it easier later.

[ He's smart enough to leave the whisking to himself. ]

[Good man. Whisking can be VERY messy. Aska just sits back and watch as the egg swiftly combines with the milk. ]

Oh, if it is something like that it makes sense. You wouldn’t want to find a big piece of egg in one of the pancakes, huh?

[ Yes, he could imagine the mess of egg and milk is much worse than just milk or just flour or just any one thing. ]

That's right. [ He thinks. He's just following what Gremio does. ] It all just comes together more easily when you're not fighting with mixing both of them in at once.

We think we know what happens next! You slowly pour the milk and eggs into the dry stuff while stirring to make sure it turns into batter, right? We saw Umi do that once.

You have a good memory!

[ He finishes combining the eggs and milk and picks up the bowl just to place it closer to her. ]

Can you hold it?

[ Opposed to dropping it. It's not too heavy, but she is a six year old kid. ]

If few dropped it we would have to start all over again…

[Not something she wants to have happen, so she is extra careful while pouring the liquid into the dry mix. No spills this time! ]

[ It seems like she can handle it, so he'll let her go ahead and pour while he mixes. ]

That's right. Let's be careful so we can avoid that...

We will.

[ So she keeps slowly pouring until all of the liquid finally makes its way into the newly mixed batter. ]

Now do we put the berries in before we cook it?

[Aska had already eaten several of the blueberries but there were plenty left for the pancakes. ]

Ah...

[ He forgot those were supposed to go in with the egg-milk combination. After a moment's hesitation, he nods. ]

Yeah. We should add them now before we forget.

[ It's mostly combined ~~and he wants some of those berries for himself~~, but it should be okay to fold them in still... ]
